The Festival of Youth 2014 event organized by the Pepsi Football Academy began on Friday with an inter-region football competition that was held at Agege Stadium, Lagos.
The event provided a platform for the
youths of the Academy to showcase their talents. Some of the players who
got an opportunity to show off their skills include Thanksgod Nnoron, Zion Omoyofunmi, Adeniji Babatunde and more as they played for various teams.

The festival ended with a Gala Night at
the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja on Saturday where a number of players and
coaches who participated in the tournament were rewarded. Some of the
guests in attendance include the Technical Director, Nigeria Football
Federation (NFF), Mr. Shuaibu Amodu, Ex- International, Dahiru Sadi amongst others.
Awards won during the night include Best Coach of the year (Mr. Baba Labaran), Most Valuable Player the 3rd Place
Match for U-16 (Thankgod Nnoron), Most Valuable Player for the final
match for U-16 (Zion Omoyofunmi), Best Goalkeeper for U-14 (Junior James), Best Goalkeeper for U-16 (Frank Ozodu), Most Valuable Players at Group Stage (Samuel Adegbesan, Wale Ayodele & Yakubu Baba) and more.
